Half Bath/Laundry Room

This half bath and laundry room refresh demonstrates how a "standard build" space can be completely reimagined into a unique, character-filled sanctuary. By moving away from predictable builder-grade finishes, we transformed a functional pass-through into a vibrant, high-design destination that reflects the home's newfound personality.

The Design Story
The objective was to inject soul and texture into a once-boring layout. We achieved this through a Modern Transitional lens, layering bold patterns with artisanal details. The room now features:

Custom Cabinetry: High-performance storage finished in a sophisticated, muted green that provides a stunning contrast to the surrounding details.

Unique Hardware & Switches: We elevated the tactile experience of the room by replacing standard plates with vintage-inspired brass toggle switches and oversized gold cabinet pulls.

Whimsical Textures: From the intricate floral wallpaper to the curated "Peacock" artwork, every element was chosen to tell a story and add a sense of history to the new build.

Precision in Planning
To ensure the transition from a standard design to a custom masterpiece was seamless, every detail was mapped out in comprehensive construction drawings. We collaborated closely with the client to finalize the placement of all hard finishes and plumbing before the work began. This allowed the contractor to execute the custom millwork and unique lighting placements with total precision, resulting in a cohesive, professional finish that feels anything but standard.
