Vintage Hollywood Basement Bath

This bathroom addition transforms an unfinished basement space into a glamorous, high-character retreat. By utilizing the blank canvas of an unfinished lower level, we were able to engineer a layout that prioritizes luxury and style without the constraints of existing plumbing.

The Design Story
The aesthetic for this project is a love letter to Vintage Hollywood Regency design. We moved away from standard basement finishes to create a space that feels curated and timeless, blending mid-century glamour with modern functionality.

Key design elements include:

Marble Mosaic Flooring: A stunning, high-contrast marble mosaic anchors the room, offering a "new but vintage" flare that serves as the ultimate statement piece.

Cohesive Curation: To achieve a polished look, we selected a palette that emphasizes rich textures and sophisticated metal accents, specifically utilizing bronze and soft champagne gold to echo the golden age of cinema.

Strategic Layout: Every detail, from the plumbing placement to the lighting output, was mapped out in our detailed construction drawings. This allowed the contractor to execute the custom features and intricate tile patterns with total precision.

By finalizing the full selection of finishes before construction began, the client was able to visualize the exact result and manage costs effectively. The result is a bold, character-filled bathroom that elevates the entire basement from a utility space to a designer destination.
